Jorine van der Poel is a licensed physiotherapist (leg. fysioterapeut/sjukgymnast) and certified animal physiotherapist with a lifelong love of horses and animals.
After four years of physiotherapy training, Jorine pursued further education in animal physiotherapy — specialising in dogs and horses — combining both disciplines into a uniquely holistic practice.
Jorine also teaches horse riding and groundwork, with a strong emphasis on clear, respectful communication and harmony between horse and rider.
The unique dual qualification in both human and animal physiotherapy makes it possible to treat both the horse and the rider — understanding how stiffness or asymmetry in the rider creates a similar problem for the horse.
By addressing both partners together, treatment becomes more effective and lasting — improving not just individual health, but the harmony of the whole partnership.
All assessments and treatments are grounded in current physiotherapy science and best practice protocols.
Understanding the rider-horse relationship means treating the root cause, not just the symptom.
Instruction with emphasis on clear, respectful communication — for rider, horse, and practitioner alike.
Every patient is unique. Treatment is always tailored to the individual's specific needs, history, and goals.
From four-legged athletes to their human partners — every patient receives a thorough assessment and an individualised treatment plan.
Whether your dog is recovering from surgery, struggling with arthritis, or simply not moving as freely as before — physiotherapy can make a real difference. Treatment is gentle, evidence-based, and tailored to your dog.
Horses carry enormous physical demands. Physiotherapy addresses musculoskeletal problems, stiffness, and asymmetry — helping your horse move with more freedom, comfort, and willingness.
Riders are athletes. Stiffness, asymmetry, or pain in the rider directly affects the horse. Treating riders improves both their own wellbeing and the harmony of the horse-rider partnership.
As a licensed physiotherapist, Jorine also treats general human patients — whether for sports injuries, work-related issues, or everyday movement problems.
Whether it's for your dog, your horse, yourself, or the horse-rider partnership — I'm here to help. Get in touch to discuss your needs and book an appointment.
